This Privacy Policy describes how UnseeAI (referred to as "UnseeAI", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with your use of our iOS mobile application and our website. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using UnseeAI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not use the App or the website.
This policy is intentionally detailed to explain what we do and, just as importantly, what we do not do. It is written to clarify responsibilities between you (the user), us (the app publisher), and third parties (for example, Google/Firebase, Apple, or your device/backup provider).
This Privacy Policy applies to:
This Privacy Policy does not apply to:
UnseeAI is a privacy/utility app meant to help you identify sensitive, nude, NSFW, or otherwise private photos that are stored on your device and to help you manage them (for example, blur them, move them into a local vault, or delete them). The core feature is intended to run on-device, meaning the detection logic is designed to process your photos locally on your phone.
Because of that design, we do not want to receive or store your photo library on our servers and we do not provide a cloud service for storing your sensitive images.
The nature of this app is sensitive. In particular:
However, you should understand that no software can absolutely guarantee that no data is ever processed, cached, backed up, or transmitted by the operating system, Apple, or third-party libraries. See sections below on limitations and liability.
We do not collect or process facial recognition data, face geometry, or other biometric identifiers. The app does not do face matching or store face data.
Even privacy-focused apps collect some technical data in order to function. When you use UnseeAI, we may automatically collect:
This type of information is standard for mobile apps and is used to help the developer understand whether the app is working, which parts people use, and where it might be failing.
We use Google Firebase Analytics (also known as Google Analytics for Firebase) to collect aggregated and pseudonymous usage data. We use this strictly to understand app performance and user flows.
What Firebase may collect on our behalf:
What we do not use Firebase for:
Important: Firebase/Google is a separate company. They process data under their own terms and privacy policy. We do not control how they secure or operate their infrastructure. By using the App, you acknowledge that certain minimal data will be processed by Google for analytics.
a) On-device processing
The intended behavior is that the AI model that detects nudity/NSFW/sensitive photos runs locally on your device. This means your photo content is analyzed inside your phone's environment.
b) No photo upload to us
We do not provide a feature for uploading your photo library to our servers. We do not want or need to receive your private photos.
c) Your device and backups
Because analysis happens on your device, the security of that device is your responsibility. If your device is lost, stolen, jailbroken, synced to an insecure computer, backed up to a cloud with weak credentials, or screen-shared, your photos can become visible to others. That exposure is outside our control and we cannot be held responsible for it.
We do not collect or process facial recognition data, face geometry, or other biometric identifiers. The app does not do face matching or store face data.
You might contact us for support. If you email us at support@unseeai.com, we will receive your email address and whatever information you include. We will use that information only to respond to your request and keep a record of the conversation in case we need to follow up or show continuity of support.
We do not sell or publish support emails. We may, however, keep them for a reasonable period to protect our legitimate interests (for example, to show what we told a user or to investigate misuse).
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, we rely on the following legal bases:
Because we do not run user accounts and the data we collect through Firebase is aggregated/pseudonymous, we may not be able to identify you individually in Firebase for per-user deletion. You can always contact us to ask, and we will explain what we have and what we don't.
This App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will address it.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed in connection with the App. However:
Because UnseeAI deals with sensitive content already on your device, you agree that:
We do not routinely share data with third parties apart from Google/Firebase for analytics. We may disclose limited data:
We do not disclose your photo library.
If you want us to delete support emails you sent, email us at support@unseeai.com and we will delete them unless we are required to keep them for legal reasons.
Because we use Google/Firebase, data may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. By using the App, you acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that they are necessary for us to provide the App.
We understand you want maximum protection. The following is the strongest form we can state in this context:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to exclude or limit any right that you cannot waive or that cannot be limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain damages, so parts of the above may not apply to you, but this is our position to the fullest extent allowed.
We rely on Apple (for distribution, permissions, Photos access) and on Google/Firebase (for analytics). We do not control these companies. If any of these companies experiences a breach, change of policy, misuse, or data incident, that is under their control, not ours. By using the App, you acknowledge this and agree that we are not responsible for the security or privacy practices of those third parties.
You may contact us at any time at support@unseeai.com to:
Because we do not run user accounts and Firebase data is aggregated, we may not be able to identify you in Google/Firebase data. If that is the case, we will tell you that.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, in third-party services (such as Firebase), or in applicable laws. When we update it, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the App or website after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App and delete it.
If you have questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy, contact:
We will do our best to respond within a reasonable time.
This policy is intentionally broad to explain what we do, what we don't do, and what is outside our control. The App is a tool that runs on your device. Your device, your backups, your cloud storage, and your own sharing behavior are factors we cannot control. By using UnseeAI, you accept those limitations.
